Metastasis of Signs

Gallery Espace, New Delhi presented Chintan Upadhyay’s first major solo show in Delhi, titled ‘Metastasis of Signs’. In this show Chintan articulated his thoughts on the cancerous proliferation of mis-interpretable signs in a signage infested society. The show opened on 9th February 2008. Art lovers, collectors, critics, gallerists and friends turned up for the opening. ‘Metastasis of Signs’ received huge critical coverage in the media. For Chintan, it became one more occasion to reiterate on his ideas on art in the post-globalization age.
