Why CRAFT?
Center for Research in Art of Film and Television (CRAFT) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered as a public charitable trust to impart quality education in the field of film, television, and other media arts through short and long-term courses with specialization in various disciplines.
While many mass communication courses exist at the Bachelor's and Master's level in Delhi, CRAFT has decided to introduce one-year, full-time postgraduate advance diplomas.
“Today, we are living in an era of microspecialization. Besides FTII, not many institutes offer specialization courses in media arts. Moreover, the usual intake of aspirants in so-called mass communication courses is 45-60, where imparting practical training is not viable. Most of these courses run on a theoretical syllabus devised by academic council members who are not industry practitioners”, says Naresh.
“Therefore, we have realized the need for specialization courses run by current industry practitioners”, completes Naresh enthusiastically.
CRAFT is a quality education venture rather than a business. We have the desire and the required contacts within the film industry to invite professionals to conduct workshops/seminars. CRAFT operates on a corporate pattern rather than on a bureaucratic system.
In view of the above, the courses offered at CRAFT are distinguished by the following unique features:

  • Specialized courses as opposed to mass communication.
  • Low teacher-student ratio, with10 seats per course.
  • Guest faculty from the Mumbai Film Industry.
  • Training oriented towards film aesthetics.
  • Hands-on experience based on current industry requirement.
  • Rigorous training assuring guaranteed top placements.

Our mission is to 'create a stream of qualified cinematic professionals'. Our main focus is to provide hands-on training to individuals with latest equipment.
This is an autonomous programme that will train students to find the best placement in the industry. We look forward to students who aspire for a rewarding career in the film and television industry and related media.

Welcome to the fraternity of experts.
